ITINERARY
This comprehensive itinerary allows for proper acclimatization and ensures a safe and memorable trekking experience in the Everest region.
Please note: this itinerary can be customized according to your preferences and time constraints. The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions, physical fitness, and the discretion of the trekking guide.
-
An early morning scenic flight to Lukla kicks off your Himalayan adventure. After landing at this iconic airstrip, you’ll begin an easy 3–4 hour walk through pine forests and small Sherpa villages to Phakding, where you’ll spend the night in a cozy teahouse by the Dudh Koshi River.
-
Cross several suspension bridges as you trek through Benkar and Monjo, entering Sagarmatha National Park. The final stretch is a steep ascent into Namche Bazaar—but your reward is a bustling Sherpa town carved into the mountainside with epic views of Kongde Ri and glimpses of Everest. Overnight in Namche.
-
Today is all about letting your body adjust to the altitude. Take a short hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for your first panoramic glimpse of Everest and Ama Dablam. Explore Namche’s museums, bakeries, and gear shops in the afternoon. Stay another night in this high-altitude hub.
-
The trail to Tengboche is one of the most scenic sections of the Everest region, with unforgettable views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam along the way. After a gentle descent to the Dudh Koshi, you’ll climb steadily to the ridgeline where Tengboche Monastery sits—peaceful, spiritual, and surrounded by giants. Catch evening prayers if time allows.
-
After sunrise views and a final look at the monastery, retrace your steps down to the river and back up to Namche. With altitude behind you, the return feels lighter and more relaxed. Enjoy the comforts of Namche for one last night.
-
Begin your final trekking day as you descend through the forest trails and cross hanging bridges back toward Lukla. It’s a full-circle journey, and a bittersweet end to a breathtaking adventure. Celebrate your successful trek with your guide and porter in Lukla that evening.
-
Weather permitting, you’ll board an early flight back to Kathmandu. Once in the city, check into your hotel, enjoy a hot shower, and maybe visit one of Kathmandu’s rooftop cafés for a celebratory drink or traditional meal.
-
Depending on your travel plans, we’ll assist with your airport transfer or help organize any additional trips within Nepal. Whether you’re heading home or moving on to your next destination, the sights, sounds, and spirit of the Langtang Valley will stay with you long after the trek ends.
