Ghorepani Ghandruk
Circuit Trek
SUMMARY
This 6-day trek offers a relaxed and rewarding introduction to trekking in the Annapurna region. It follows a scenic loop through rhododendron forests, traditional Gurung and Magar villages, and open ridgelines, with daily walks that are manageable and well paced. One of the highlights is an early morning climb to Poon Hill, where sunrise reveals wide views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
The trail balances nature and culture, passing through villages where hospitality is warm and life moves at a steady rhythm. With moderate elevation and comfortable daily distances, this trek suits first-time trekkers, families, or anyone looking for a short Himalayan journey without the demands of high altitude or technical terrain.
For those who enjoy this style of trekking and want to go further, longer routes such as Annapurna Base Camp + Mardi Himal 13 Days build on the same landscapes while reaching deeper into the mountains. More remote and challenging journeys like Nar Phu Valley Trek 18 Days or the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho trek 17 Days offer a step up in altitude, duration, and isolation for trekkers seeking a more demanding experience.
This trek stands on its own as a complete and memorable journey, offering mountain views, cultural connection, and a gentle pace that allows time to enjoy each day on the trail.
